The IVF is a tuned series pass network which provides a low impedance path to ground for induced 180/300 Hz AC current. The 2350 IVF was designed for circumstances where higher harmonics of 60 Hz induced AC are encountered. Tone locating and cable monitoring signals pass by the IVF with little or no reduction in strength. 2350 IVF may me used in parallel with 60 Hz IVF where required.
