2000 CMS - Manufacturer Discontinuation Notice

This bulletin provides notification of the Retirement (or Manufacture Discontinuance) of the Norscan 2000 Cable Management System (CMS) Series. This includes the 2000 Master Shelf, 2000 Sensor Identification Unit card, 2000 Alarm Circuit Unit card, 2000 Test Card, 2000 Extender Card, 2000 Computer Control Unit, 2010 Computer Control Unit and the 2000 Multi Tone Module.

Due to the long life span, some hardware components have reached obsolescence and Norscan Instruments is not able to guarantee availability of this monitoring unit, or the quality of sourced components, into the future. Norscan Instruments is therefore providing notice that the 2000 CMS product series will not be available for purchase as of the date June 1, 2008. Repair service (chargeable) on a best efforts basis will remain in effect during the retirement period.

The normal retirement period for Norscan hardware is one (1) year from the last time order date to end-of-life. The 2000 CMS is End of Life September 1, 2009. Upon End of Life, hardware repair service will no longer be available.
